Car Show & Community Event · Live website
Adelaide JDM Show
A five-page website for South Australia's free public Japanese Domestic Market car show. It is built to get people excited about the day, tell them everything they need to plan a visit, and get car owners to register their builds.

The Challenge
What the business was up against
A car show has three audiences at once: spectators who just want to know when and where, owners who want to put their car on the show floor, and vendors looking for a stall. Event pages often bury the key facts in a single long flyer, and the cars themselves, which are the whole reason people come, end up as small thumbnails.

Our Approach
Designed for the phone in their hand
We let the cars lead. Every page opens with full-bleed photography from the show and heavy uppercase headlines on black and white, with a single orange accent for actions. The site is split into clear jobs: a Gallery of the builds, a Plan Your Visit guide (times, tram, bus, parking, accessibility, what to bring, food), a JDM Culture page that tells the story behind the scene, and a Register page with free spectator entry, car display and car club options plus a vendor enquiry. The layout is fully responsive with a simple mobile menu.

Key Design Decisions
What we built in, and why
Photography first
Full-bleed shots of real builds from the show carry the hero and the gallery, so the site feels like the event itself.
Free entry, said loudly
“No tickets. Just show up.” is a headline, not fine print, which removes the biggest question a first-time visitor has.
One page per job
Gallery, Plan Your Visit, JDM Culture and Register each answer one need, so spectators, car owners and vendors all find their path fast.
