Iconic JDM vehicles showcasing Japanese engineering

The Origins

What is JDM?

JDM — Japanese Domestic Market — refers to vehicles and parts manufactured specifically for sale within Japan. These cars were built to a different standard: tighter regulations, higher specifications, and engineering that pushed the limits of what was possible.

Over decades, JDM vehicles became icons of performance and precision. The Nissan Skyline GT-R, Honda NSX, Toyota Supra, Mazda RX-7 — cars that defined a generation and continue to inspire builders and collectors worldwide.

The Adelaide JDM Show celebrates this legacy — honouring the machines, the community, and the culture that surrounds them.

What We Celebrate

The Pillars of JDM

More than cars — a culture built on craftsmanship, community, and the relentless pursuit of performance.

Engineering

Built Different

Japanese automakers produced some of the world's most celebrated performance engines — the 2JZ, RB26, B18, 4G63. Each one a masterpiece of precision engineering that continues to be modified and celebrated today.

Modification

Custom Culture

JDM culture embraces personalisation — from body kits and aero packages to engine builds and suspension setups. Every car at the show tells the unique story of its owner's vision and dedication.

Community

Built Together

Adelaide's JDM community spans every age, every background, and every budget. What unites everyone is a shared passion for Japanese automotive culture — and a love of showing off the results.

Heritage

Icons & Legends

From the golden era of Group A racing to the tuner scene of the 90s and the resurgence of classics today — JDM heritage runs deep, and Adelaide's show proudly puts it on display.
